 I am sure you have seen this advertisement by Sainsbury (the third largest chain of supermarkets in the United Kingdom) as it has been considered the best 2014 Christmas ad.

But what was the real story behind the truce? Why did it happen and did British and German soldiers really play football in no-man's land?
