ORAL ACTIVITY 1- SEPTEMBER 2018

TASK 1  Try to understand what Pauline Hanson is complaining about.
TASK 2  Read the article ( it's from the 12th of September 2018) and match the words with the definitions.

Either in pairs or own your own,  prepare a one-minute dialogue or monologue as to what happened on the 12th September.

TASK 4: Listen to what your classmates have prepared and guess whose role they are playing. Give them a mark.

What is Notting Hill Carnival?A free celebration of the capital's Caribbean communities, their culture and traditions, which has been taking place since 1964, featuring two days of fantastic live music ranging from reggae to dub to salsa. The celebration includes 37 static soundsystemssoca floats, steel bands and a whole lot of jerk chicken and fried plantain. This year, Carnival is going 'Green for Grenfell', celebrations will come to a halt for one minute’s silence at 3pm on both Sunday and Monday in memory of the 80 people who died in the blaze at Grenfell Tower in June.
